Phil Sheldon

Philip Sheldon is an award winning Health & Fitness Motivator, Radio and Television personality whom has lectured in Australia and the United States. Philip was awarded the prestigious ‘MBF Health and Wellbeing Award’ for the best Radio report (Metropolitan) for his weekly ‘Bodytalk’ program. as well as the excellence in journalism award from the arthritis foundation

As well as holding a Masters Degree in Health Science (Human Nutrition Deakin University, Vic) a Bachelors Degree in Applied Science and Nutrition, Philip has studied extensively in Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Medicine, with a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science in Integrative, Nutritional and Environmental Medicine(Swinburne University, Vic).  He is currently finishing his Doctorate in Public Health & Nutrition at Flinders University SA.

Qualified and accredited in Naturopathy, Sports Conditioning, Fitness Testing, Fitness Instruction, Aerobics, Sports Training, and Sports Injury and is a SA & NSW Accredited Community Fitness Leader. Philip was also behind the formation of the TAFE fitness leader courses and lectured for TAFE on these courses in Industry Issues and Business Management. Philip is also a Member of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation and a member of the Australian Sports Trainers Association, and a past President of the Fitness Industry Association.

He was also asked to be a member on the Council for the IHRSA, Institute on Exercise and Health based in Boston, USA. This worldwide organization is dedicated to communicating the health benefits of regular exercise by evaluating every piece of important research.

He asks “Why do we seem to spend the first 50 years of our lives giving up our health in the pursuit of wealth, and then spend the remainder of our lives using up our wealth trying to buy back our health?”

Philip is a Motivational Speaker and Radio Presenter who passionately believes that you have to care about your body and your mind.

There is so much research coming out every day, but the reports are typically published in technical language not easily accessible to the layperson. Philip is able to get his message across for all to understand, and what’s more he makes it fun!
